ITALY ALBUM

"Italy is a country that has fascinated me for many years and enraptured me in the escapism of the place. From visiting Venice and southern Italy for the first in 2014 I was immediately enchanted by the vibrant landscape, diverse people and soul warming food. Speaking Italian certainly helped me on my trip in the summer of 2020 where I captured the Sorrento album shown below. My aim here was to mimic the old style of shots taking inspiration from local photographer Raffaele Celentano and exaggerating the expressions of the locals whilst adding a modern story telling persona to the pictures. The images leave you with a question around the person or areas story."
